At a GLIMPSE: Catch 2012’s most awaited Tamil films

Ajith Kumar's 'Billa 2' – ‘Billa’ when released back in 2007, set the cash registers and the box office on fire. We believe the Chakri Toletti directed prequel to ‘Billa 2’ repeated the same. ‘Billa 2’ produced by Suresh Balaji, son of the legendary producer and actor K. Balaji who produced the original ‘Billa’ with superstar Rajinikanth. The cinematographer is Nirav Shah. The return of Thala started the highs of 2012, with the bar raised high of action-drama films in 2012. Superstar Rajinikanth'sKochadaiyaan’ which will hit the screens by the end of 2012 has its own hype.

When a superstar film hits town, the expectations are so large that people go nuts and the media attention a superstar film gets brings ‘Kochadaiyaan’ right on top of the list. ‘Kochadaiyaan’ a 3D film made with the technology used in films like ‘Avatar’ and ‘Tintin 3D’. The film promises to be ‘epic’ at the box office.

The Dhanush starrer '3' is probably known all over India thanks to the viral song 'Kolaveri di'. The film directed by his wife and superstar Rajini’s daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth has created huge hype and expectations not only in Tamil Nadu, but also all over the country. The film also stars Shruti Haasan in the female lead and is expected to release within the next few months.

Thuppaki’ has been creating a fair share of hype for all the right, wrong and legal reasons. It brings together for the first time, A.R. Murugadoss and Vijay. The film is an action packed entertainer in true Murugadoss style. Mani Ratnam's ‘Kadal’ – like any other Rtnam film, will never go unnoticed!

Last but not the least, some other films to look forward are Ameer's ‘Aadhi Bhagwan’, Kamal Haasan's ‘Viswaroopam’, ‘Podaa Podi’ and Suriya starrer, ‘Maatraan’.
